Here is a painting I created in the Jeanne Carbonetti watercolor workshop held in Mora Minnesota in May of 2011. When I brought it home and showed it to my husband, he named it Happy Birches, a title I love!
A “Thank you” for the workshop to our hosts, the Kanabec County Art Association, and funding in part by a grant from the East Central Regional Development Commission and the East Central Arts Council with funds provided by the Minnesota State Legislature.

This is titled Confirmation Day in honor of my niece’s special occasion. We were celebrating at her house, when the view of the late afternoon sun glowing through the trees and a light snowfall inspired this watercolor painting.

Nice work, great colour.
Thanks for your comment! I enjoyed looking at your work also!
Happy birches, indeed! It looks like you had a great deal of fun doing both these paintings.
I appreciate very much your placing me on your ‘blogroll’.
Shelley, this is beautiful!
I love your Birch Trees and your Blog is inspirational and uplifting!
Thank you for sharing all of your beauty, Shelley!
Thanks for your kind words, Emmy!
Shelley, today as I was deleting old e-mails I came across your blog address and have just read them all and looked at your art. I am very proud to see and read your work. You truly are a communicator of all things good. Love from your Mom.
I will assume your enthusiasm for my writing and art is totally unbiased and not at all influenced by the fact you are my Mother!! Thanks, Mom! Love, Shelley
